Everyone should have got a good night sleep including Dave.
When Karen wrote me last night “What I was not clear on is the status of the bookkeeper & Carl’s status at OV. I explained to you that Kathleen is fearing returning to work on Monday due to the fact that there is a strong possibility the Pig & Carl will be there & she does not know what to do”, Karen was aware of my suggestion that Kathleen not go to OV until everything is squared away with Alex.
Why would anyone refer to the bookkeeper as a “pig” while being so nice, sweet and kind to the person responsible for the pig bookkeeper acting like a pig?
How can one expect the next generation to learn anything from the generation before who think the next generation are a bunch of degenerates?
It seems that everyone only wants to follow my suggestions when it suits them. Moreover, when it doesn’t suit them, then they just ignore what I have to say, and then think it is mighty fine to say that they don’t understand what is going on; and so when would you say I will be the person to blame?
Im well aware that no one contacted me last night to let me know that Kathleen had contacted Alex and told him to grow up and explain why the need for further delays.
How come Iv’e known Kathleen just a few weeks and I figured right at the very start that Alex was the problem even though all 3 of you had previously told me that Alex was great.
I have never met Alex but I don’t need to meet someone to know when they are up to no good when failing to respond appropriately to a bully like the Pig brother Carl?
Wouldn’t it make sense that if you can point a finger at how badly Alex runs the sister corporation of OV that it would at a minimum muddy the waters.
Kathleen first told me when I enquired about the origins of Alexander’s that Alex had approached The Pig brother Carl “out of the goodness of his heart” to have The Pig be one of the owners; and Kathleen also told me when I couldn’t believe what I was hearing that Alex wasn’t looking for capital from The Pig Brother.
Why doesn’t Kathleen have 50% of Alexander’s since she put up all the capital for Alexander’s just like she did for OV?
It is very confusing only because people don’t think that blood won’t take advantage of those closest to them because they believe they can get away with it because the blood relative being taken advantage of will be either too depressed to do anything to redress the wrong and/or too embarrassed by what other people will think.
This whole physical confrontation between Alex and The Pig Brother seems hugely contrived.
Don’t you all see how critically important it is to get to the very bottom of that confrontation that Alex told his mother Kathleen he was able to handle “diplomatically”.
Lets use the example of unrelated dogs getting into a squabble over the scraps of food fed to it by their owner.
Have you ever seen the aggressor dog resolving the conflict using diplomatic channels?
Most blood relationships are the most succulent which is why internecine fighting is so bloody.

A youngish couple with a baby and their one friend, none of them looking healthy and vibrant, just mentioned that they ate at Herringbone in La Jolla which is the restaurant Kathleen and I ate on Thursday while waiting around for her Pig brother to show up at La Valencia and while we waited I had my interesting conversation with Alex and throughout it all I couldn’t forget that other people were running his restaurant where he is still working on getting in place a management accounting-information system after being in business 7 years.
Do you think his bookkeeper is better or worse than The Pig Brother’s bookkeeper?
Does it really matter assuming Kathleen were running both operations.
Kathleen says that Alex has been paying for everything including her mortgage, but based on the numbers she has told me about the rental income she gets from her home that she, Alex and the daughter moved out of, the rental income of $7K a month covers the mortgage and Kathleen’s studio rental, leaving Kathleen with the $2k income The Pig Brother pays her; and so what is Alex now paying.
It is very easy for things to go topsy-turvy when one is making money hand over fist and you think it is all because your shit stinks.
The world could learn a lot from this story given how when has there ever been a situation that a single woman gives birth to two very successful restaurants after first succeeding all on her own with her first pizza parlor and then she gets fucked not only by her brother and son, two peas in a pod, but her friends fail to connect the dots.
You realize that were it not for me connecting the dots none of you would be any the wiser, hence why Karen says the situation is “complicated”.
In other words, it is not complicated, it is just that the truth is too disturbing.
Instead of everyone feeling sorry for themselves, how about each of you taking the bull by the horns and making a stand at OV and Alexanders just like I did with the Pig Brother at La Valencia without even knowing that he had previously neutralized Alex that had Kathleen coming to the defense of Alex by explaining to me that Alex had handled The Pig Brother Carl “diplomatically”.
Notice how I didn’t wait for any of you before I texted Alex to explain “What exactly did you do and say” that had Pig Brother Carl continuing his abusive ways with Kathleen?
That was at 10:13pm last evening; and I have still not heard a word from Alex.
I must now meet the driver downstairs here at San Diego Airport who is returning with Mango’s international travel papers that I left in the car.
We are now catching a later flight.
How is all your day going?
How do you suggest I follow up with Alex or would one of you like to take over, so I can get back to writing my book, or do you think this is interesting enough to be a segment or its own entire book?
Do you think my clarity of thought has to do with getting in less than 3 hours sleep, although Mango slept tightly between Marie and me warming up both our backs.

If anyone calls you to find out where you are use the time when not responding to figure out a way to have Alex return to San Diego and you, Karen, Dave and Alex make your first entrance to OV as you the new owner and operator once you have figured out what is going on with Alex and in the meantime as well Karen and Dave work on attracting other investors
